Wonder Woman 1984' review: Patty Jenkins' sequel gets dragged down by its uninspired villains - CNN

WW84 hits people during this Christmas season and everyone has a mixed reaction. In reviews more interested in hyperpolarized comments either so higher number or basically nothing, my version is much more moderate. It is easy to be critical, I would rather develop my perspective from the last one and compare differences. Long and bulky, two new foes in Max Lord and The Cheetah make the focus very different.

Pedro Pascal by far was the best thing about this even if by the end it became over the top. Gal Gadot was able to portray a more brooding Wonder Woman although jump to conclusions to change personality in obvious ways. Kristen Wing was cringe all up to the very end fight in full Cheetah CGI but that action was a bunch of cliches.

Most of the story fell flat and was highly predictable. I resonate with the negative reviews out of ten but I managed to consume the whole thing with resistance not working too hard. I have seen plenty more stuff that is insulting to an audience although this is equally as boring. Pedro Pascal gives it a slightly higher rating although if he was not near, I would say this sequel was worse than the original.

Decent story, villains were very good especially maxwell lord, Pedro pascal did a great job but cheetah felt lackluster and just felt the acting was kind of goofy and the dialogue was cheesy at times. Again not a terrible movie just didn’t feel like I reached it’s potential. Definitely give it a chance and watch it. – ajm715-67-182552 (IMDB – 6/10)
