The Beach Bum – [FILMGRAB]

Moondog: I get all these things going, man, and they are all turning me on. And my wires are connecting upstairs and I start to hear music in my head. You know, and the world is reverberating back and forth and I hit the frequency and I start to dance to it. My fingers get moving, my head gets soupy, I’m spinning all over the fucking place, and the fucking words come out.

From one interview promoting this movie, I decided to actually watch it. The Beach Bum is a stoner comedy starring Matthew McConaughey and Snoop Dog. With a budget of $5 million dollars, it failed to make a profit at the box office only making $4.3 million. Inspired by Jimmy Buffet songs for some reason, what makes this movie different from what you would expect?

Starting my second paragraph, I just want to say that this movie was pretty bad. At the start of the movie the premise was somewhat interesting but over time the character Moondog which Matthew McConaughey played lost its badass execution during some weird and unnecessary story plots. I love Snoop Dogg but when he said his character was someone who he has not played before, do not believe him.

I do not recommend this movie to many people, only the ones who are interested in Snoop Dog or the character of Moondog in the story. And this shall be the lowest-rated review currently for Entertainment Culture Online. But I want to give a little credit for its use to make it look visually appealing (not just some random boobs for the r rated film) and some scenes that were somewhat poetic.

Moondog: One day I will swallow up the world, and when I do, I hope you all perish violently.
