Same age and height, to nuances in W/L records and reach and weight. By doing these recaps I have learnt that Dustin Poirier is no joke and Conor is as unpredictable as ever! Knowing that many people put forth the gamble on the line on this and the hype behind it had some steam to it. Regardless, in returning to my duties on this website, I voted in a poll for Dustin by a decision as more was swinging the other way. Still, I could not expect what took place over the various rounds…
Fast hands from both men, Poirier with the first takedown. Battle of the shoulder strikes as they reversal into standing position. Some knees and back to the centre. With both making some nice shots until the end of the first round. Conor pushing forward with an uppercut, Dustin is defensive with some distance. Dustin Poirier’s Record: 27-6-0 (1 NC) – Conor McGregor’s Record: 22-5-0. Caught off a foot and a bomb to a chin. Poirier overcoming throws lefts and rights and does not stop which causes Conour to fall on his ass. Somewhat out of nowhere, this is taking your moment with the brutal rules. Well, it certainly went longer than the previous McGregor to my memory making it better.
