“The Greeks called this place the omphalos, literally the belly button of the earth, though they never specified whether it was an innie or an outie.” — Rick Riordan
The flat earthers who came first to the signal,
To surely this thing called Earth is all that matters,
From Uraniborg to anachronisms by an orthogonal,
The universe, in fact, has no deeper centre always expanding chambers.
Laws of the barycenter separate a physical object but a dynamical point,
Two-body problems already predicted and mass-wise exact,
Planet’s orbit is an ellipse with the Sun at a focused toggle joint,
Hard-data rule one is only as good as a unilateral contract.
A straight line joining the sun sweeping out equal areas,
In equal times; and a globe’s orbital period is proportional,
For the accepted cube of the semi-major axis spins,
This derives the third as the most often cosmology usable.
Copernicus, Galileo, and Kepler did not solve an old problem, they asked a new question, and in doing so they changed the whole basis on which the old questions had been framed. – Ken Robinson
