Kickoff Assimilate #FreeVerse #Poetry

Why I've struggled with the pressure to assimilate when teaching | Science | AAAS

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times. – Bruce Lee

Human nutrients treated like food,

Like nature digesting what we all need to absorb,

A sound as the same as the next word,

Imbibe phonetic orifice.

Soothsay sneaking suspicion,

Seperating some wheat from the chaff,

Contortion of morphs to cheer for,

Be par for the earshot continuance.

I also think we need to maintain distinctions – the doctrine of creation is different from a scientific cosmology, and we should resist the temptation, which sometimes scientists give in to, to try to assimilate the concepts of theology to the concepts of science. – John Polkinghorne
