Fire Kings are an old archetype that can do a lot of stuff by destroying themself to then wipe the field with one particular car. Hybridizing to a different old card in Yubel as well, I have made something competitive well enough in modern times. The video below for proof that these combos still work today.

Combos:
Fire King High Avatar Garunix is the main card in this deck because when you destroy it with Fire King Island or Fire King Avatar Arvanta, it special summons next turn to wipe the field. Or any opponent’s card effects which destroy also chain this effect.
Next is Yubel which can summon its next form straight away using Fire King Island. Then be award it wipes the field when you end your turn so Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Tiger King can negate that from happening for at least one turn. Or tribute summon/ Monster Reborn and combo summoning with Torrential Tribute which also wipes the field.
Set Rotation with Fire King Island and Savage Colosseum is a nice draw strat but with the Yubels, this solo field card forces all your opponents to attack it. Inflict life points directly forcefully, it might even be enough to win the game for you.
Rekindling summons as many monsters from the GY you want but banished after if not used to summon boss monsters from the extra deck like the three main Link ones. Number 82 attacking directly, after the battle phrase you should overlay Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS which wipes opponents field including the back row.
