As every new breed of virus is conceived, created and released into the wild, another small change is made to the anti-virus software to combat the new threat. – Glenn Turner

Hooking mouse cursors,

Baiting the desires of reaction,

Manifesting suggestional curses,

Linking intent with personal attraction.

Taunted at what you know,

Flexing lures of smoke and mirrors,

Misleading context with the thumbnail in the photo,

Sucking up attention in the running rivers.

Provocative engaging headline phrase,

Eyecatching form of speech,

Addictive at an initial gaze,

First glance seems like it has so much to teach.

Webs of funnels into hidden reward,

Ones are more obvious than others,

Content of quality is something of worthy scored,

Many are for the drawing of numbers.

With an ad blocker, access is granted,

Either not of any use or an earnt apex,

Then this click virus does not have to be always slanted.

Tactical is good if true,

An honest delivery of truth in service,

Depending on how you cut through,

Meanings are contained in the unconscious thermos.

Extragrating the self-promotion,

Flowing in and out of sight,

When set bait becomes broken,

What is the difference between fair game and a more sinister blight?

An inefficient virus kills its host. A clever virus stays with it. – James Lovelock
