A poem written by Lee Sonogan

“Instead of generating either unnecessary alarm or a false sense of security regarding these fundamental issues, the best course is to empower people with the truth.” — Dick Thornburgh
A far cry from safety,
Remaining in ignorant bliss,
All angles seen is bravery,
Always look for relevance that you cannot miss.
Conceptual ideas that draw on a lure,
Social engineering at its best,
Convincing people to be sure,
Making them feel divinely blessed.
When you think your safe,
You cannot plan for the unpredictable,
Life’s situations come in all kinds of sizes and shapes,
Know what feelings are abrupt and eliminating ego in choices is critical.
Complaining about the negative,
Society interested in what protects them,
Temporary lines in their desired genesis,
Procrastinating while chewing the bandwagon gum.
Hurt people hurt people,
Avoiding the true sense of reality,
In an attempt to create what is peaceful,
Layers of false hope lay above the sea.
Flawed based on its foundation,
Truth is the only way to have a true sense of peace,
Hatred, double and fear should be the cation,
Overcoming the false involves personal sweat and grease.
“A lot of times, we are trapped by our own false sense of security. You can do whatever it is you put your mind to. Your goal is to find your purpose.” – Kenny Leon
