Wanting to Float Again

“The irony of sensory deprivation tanks is that in order to think outside the box, you must first go inside one.” ― Ryan Lilly

Slightly sinking,

Hovering over water,

Buoyant in feeling,

A mediative state above and underwater.

The memory remains in my mind,

How it felt during and after,

I was not afraid to be blind,

Experiencing it may take some time to master.

Firstly, your physical tension will fade,

Secondly, you will think more clear,

Your time becomes delayed,

Then suddenly external thoughts disappear.

Discover your origins of consciousness,

The perfect environment to bring out inner peace,

Each person comes out with a new hypothesis,

A physical and more importantly a mental release.

If only I could float at home,

One hour at a time may not be enough,

To practise not feeling the dome,

And become as small as metaphorical fluff.

Alone with your ego and thoughts,

Many natural hallucinogenic new perspectives,

A personal development tool to add up the dots,

Go in with many predetermined objectives.
