Finally Wrestlemania 35 was here. Watching highlights of Raw and Smackdown for months everything has been leading to this. Every year if you’re a wrestling fan you will check out WrestleMania. Expectations are high with many high profile matches in front of a live crowd of 80,000. I am a little disappointed that the Cruiserweight championship match was on the pre-show. ..

Matches and results:
Pre – show (Did not watch the preshow)

For the Cruserweight Championship – Buddy Murphy vs. Tony Nese (Winner: Tony Nesse)

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal (Winner: Carmella)

For the Raw tag team champions –The Revival vs. Kurt Hawkins and Zack Ryder (Winner: Zack Ryder and Kurt Hawkins)

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Winner: Braun Strowman)

Main Show

For the Universal Championship – Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins (Winner: Seth Rollins)

Suprisenly this one went first. Typical Brock Lesnar Stick. Than four moves in a row for Seth Rollins to take the win. 2.5/5

AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton (Winner: AJ Styles)

Was not very excited for this match because the story was very limiting. But when it was done It was better than expected. 3/5

For the SmackDown tag team championships – The Usos vs. Aleister Black and Ricochet vs. The Bar vs. Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura (Winner: The USOs)

Fast pace action with different styles. Different types of near falls. Interesting stuff from Black and Ricochet 3/5

Falls Count Anywhere –Shane McMahon vs. The Miz (Winner: Shane McMahon )

Nice fight outside the ring and into the crowd. That big spot that ends the match. 3/5

For the WWE Women’s tag team championships –The Boss n’ Hug Connection vs. The IIconics vs. Nia Jax and Tamina vs. Beth Phoenix and Natalya—WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (Winner: The IIconics)

Gotta give it to the Icconics on this one. They deserved to win this match. Everyone else in the match did a decent job. 3/5

For the WWE Championship –Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan (Winner: Kofi Kingston)

Kofimania! They had the time to pull off the story Kofi deserved. Many near falls and comebacks with this one. May be the best match from the entire show. 4/5

For the United States Championship – Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio (Winner: Samoa Joe)

Too quick to give a good rating. The ending made Samoa Joe look strong though in his first WrestleMania match. 2/5

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre (Winner:Roman Reigns)

A bit meh in my opinion 2/5

No Holds Barred – Triple H vs. Batista (Winner: Triple H )

For a No Holds Barred match and the age of both wrestlers it was a pretty good match. I am glad that Triple H did not retire in the match. Plus Triple H was brutal pulling at Batista’s jewlery. 3.5/5

Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin (Winner: Baron Corbin)

Kurt deserved at least a better story for his retirement match. And a way longer match. 2.5/5
For the Intercontinental Championship –Bobby Lashley vs. “The Demon” Finn Balor (Winner: Finn Balor)
How WWE uses the Demon only a few times now makes it predictable the Finn as the demon will dominate. Too quick and not competivie enough that how it could be. 2/5
Winner Takes All Triple Threat –Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey (Winner: Becky Lynch)

The first women’s main event at Wrestlemania ever. This one was the match I was most excited for. It did everything you would expect and a little more. Reading up on WrestleMania now apparently, the ending was botched. 3/5
Overall show 2.6/5

A few matches were good but, overall the showcase of immortals with a little dissapointing. The quality of the show was not consistent like most of WWE’s content. Tommorow’s Raw should be fun to watch and I still have many matches to watch that took place during wrestlemania weekend.
Please watch my new short film below and tell me what you think?
