JB: Holy Fuckalukadingdong
From beginning to end you will experience the D’s work through a comedy adventure story. Despite the $20 million budget this underrated movie only made about $14 million at the box office. If you are a fan of Tenacious D’s music then you will definitely like this movie. The soundtrack may be the best album they have ever produced. You may feel nostalgia if you like me and get some rewatchable value from watching this film.
JB:[narrating in song] A long-ass fuckin’ time ago in a town called Kickapoo / There lived a humble family religious through and through / But yea there was a black sheep and he knew just what to do / His name was young JB and he refused to step in line / A vision he did see of fucking rocking all the time / He wrote a tasty jam and all the planets did align…
The best scenes in the movie include the opening scene using Kickapoo as the movies origin story. Classico when JB and KG meet each other for the first time. Master Exploder shows an amusing dream sequence. Car Chase City which can be described by its name. And finally, the last epic Beelzeboss scene that I have placed a video of below. Then the famous musician in this movie makes more scenes in the movie more interesting.
List of famous musicians and actions in the film:
- Jack Black
- Kyle Gass
- Ronnie James Dio
- Dave Ghol
- Ben Stiller
- Tim Robbins
- Paul F. Tomkins
- Amy Poehler
- And many more!
Do not listen to any of the mixed reviews this film received. You need to watch this for yourself first before you can really make an opinion on it. It is a cult comedy that visually shows Tenacious D’s music in the best way it can be shown. Even though it has a lot of forced humour and ridiculous nonsense and makes for a fun musical adventure. Regardless I highly recommend this movie based on its comedy alone.
Satan: Ow, FUCK! My fucking horn!
