In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, this new crossover fighting video game contains various anime/manga characters from multiple series. To be released on February 15th, 2019, it will be for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. With it coming out in 7 days, from the footage already in the beta, it has the potential to be an interesting fighting game that could stand out from the rest.
In the game’s launch, it will feature 40 playable characters from 16 different series. The 16 different series include: Black Clover, Bleach, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, City Hunter, Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, Fist of the North Star, Hunter x Hunter, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, Naruto, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, Saint Seiya, Yu-Gi-Oh! Tu Yu Jakusho and original Jump Force characters.
List of playable characters in this game I know:
- Ichigo Kurosaki
- Son Goku
- Vegeta
- Trucks
- Piccolo
- Freza
- Cell
- Izuku Middoriya
- Naruto Uzumaki
- Sasuke Uchiha
- Kakashi Hatake
- Gaara
- Monkey D. Luffy
- Roronoa Zoro
- Sanji
- Blackbeard
- Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi
- And probably a few more
The story looks alright but it looks like it will be in English subtitles. Unless the final version of this game is full English. Will I buy this video game? First, it looks visually impressive. The gameplay looks familiar to Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast 2. So it has the potential to be a competitive fighting game. With all the characters it looks perfect for fantasy face-offs in battle. I would consider buying this game if it was on special. It appears that it will stay around 80 bucks for a long time.
