Whatever you think of Russel Brand, it will change when you look at his YouTube channel. In 2014 Brand launched a political-comedy web series called The Trews which got my attention. Three years later, Russel started his first official podcast. Under the Skin is a news and political podcast with long interviews of a variety of guests from “the world of academia, popular culture and the arts,”.

According to iTunes the podcast “asks: what’s beneath the surface – of people we admire, of the ideas that define our time, of the history we are told,”. Each podcast episode is based around a certain subject or topic. To list some topics and subjects already spoken about: power, consciousness, revolution, justice, systems, technology, freedom and much, much more!

Currently, there are about only 60 episodes of Under the Skin with Russel Brand, according to his website. This podcast has been described as calm and thoughtful. If you watch the Joe Rogan Experience, you will like this podcast. It has more than enough quality content to appeal to many people. I recommend this podcast to anyone who likes watching long interviews on important subjects and topics.
