“If we presume that the boundary of the universe is a kind of surrounding wall, then we think like ancestors who thought there’s abyss at the edge of flat earth.” –
With Neil deGrasse Tyson claiming the Earth is an oblate sphere, why is the Earth always seen as a perfect sphere? not a pear? The Flat Earth is an archaic conception of Earth’s shape. There is documented history of Earth and space seen very differently then we see today. It is speculated that the Earth may be a plane or a disk. From Greece to the Iron Age and all the way to the 17th century, the common conception was indeed there was a flat Earth
In the famous Admiral Richard E Byrd Interview, he speaks about more land beyond Antarctica. The video of that interview will be below. If this would all be true, it could explain every country’s fascination with the North and South Pole. Look at the video below for more alleged documented evidence of building in Antarctica.
Debunking Flat Earthers;
- Aristotle who made quite a lot of observations about the spherical nature of the Earth noticed that during lunar eclipses when the Earth’s orbit places it directly between the Sun and the Moon, creating a shadow in the process. The shadow on the Moon’s surface is round
- Approaching ships do not just appear out of the horizon like they should have if the world was flat, but rather emerge from beneath the sea.
- If you stick a stick in the ground, it will produce a shadow. The shadow moves as time passes which is the principle for ancient Shadow Clocks. If the world had been flat, then two sticks in different locations would produce the same shadow:
- The Existence of Time zones
Overall, there is some conflicting truths and false information in this information. What do you think? While a flat Earth may sound silly to some, believing in a flat Earth seems impossible to most. I can only say right now it is possible but is very unlikely with my current understanding of the universe. With so many Flat-Earthers out there, a lot of them have got to believe in with emotion, not with logic and reason. Finally, if it is all true, will it matter? or will it lead to hundred of more speculations?
Fact or Fiction? Undecided
