“If you can do what you do best and be happy, you’re further along in life than most people.” – Leonardo DiCaprio

One of the best actors in the world and has a lot of great performances in movies. He begun his career appearing in television commercials in the late 1980s. His first movie was Critters 3 made in 1991. It was in 1997 when he starred in James Cameron’s Titanic he grew to international fame. This list will be in order of tenth best to first.

10.Titanic

Only on the list because it led to DiCaprio moving on to better and more important things. For it’s time it was impressive for an adaptation of a book and its overall production values.

9. Catch Me if you Can

Rated 8.1/10 on the website IMDB, this movie is based in the 1960s. Also this is one of the best stories based of real life and the person named Frank Abagnale Jr.

8. The Beach

This one is a fun movie while also being based off a book.

7. Blood Diamond

Adventure, Drama and Thriller, this brutal depicts the real life situation of diamond mining in some countries.

6. Shutter Island

A mystery, thriller movie with is a hidden gem in the genre and in the best of Martin Scorsese’s movies.

5. Gangs of New York

Great production value and style. Awesome performances by DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis. Most of the gangs mentioned by name were real 19th-century New York gangs.

4. Djamgo Unchained

Not a starring role but, plays an important part of this film. In this Quentin Tarantino movie he plays a character of a southern plantation owner. And in one scene he smash a piece of glass, cutting himself bad and continues to perform in one of the best performances in the entire movie.

3. The Departed

My favourite Matt Damon movie and according to this list my third Leonardo DiCaprio movie. And also I may even say this is my favourite Martin Scorsese’s movie of all time. Definitely worth a re-watch. Also Jack Nicholson is great in this movie.

2. The Wolf of Wall Street

Based off real life once again, the biography, crime movie was also a hilarious comedy. The majority of the film was improvised and it broke the Guinness World Record for the most swearing-in one movie: 681 expletives equal to 3.81 swears per minute. One more that I would differently recommend and re-watch.

1.Inception

This movie blew my mind when I first saw it. The ultimate movie about dreams, the director and writer Christopher Nolan waited until he had the opportunity to get the budget this movie deserves before making it. An all-star cast for this movie and Leonardo shines as the main protagonist. One of the best original sci-fi movies of all time.

The Great Gatsby and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape get honorable mentions for this list.
