House of Cards was the first original show on Netflix to take off. This season intends to be different because of Kevin Spacey’s departure. This means there will be a new story to close out the political saga with Robin Wright as the new lead. The sixth and final season House of Cards was confirmed by Netflix on December 4, 2017, and is scheduled to be released on November 2, 2018. Unlike previous seasons that consisted of thirteen episodes each, the sixth season will consist of only eight.
The season will not include former lead actor Kevin Spacey, who was fired from the show due to sexual misconduct allegations. November 3, the producers and Netflix officially announced that Kevin Spacey will not be returning or be a part of future episodes. Even though they were filming in 2017, they had to start all over again in January 2018. Season six was announced to be the last season before the Kevin Spacey allegations.
The trailer below states in mock news segments is that Claire Underwood, now president is the “worst thing that happened to this country,”. After a series of confrontations in the trailer Clair Underwood says “the first female President of the United states is not gonna keep her mouth shut,”. I hope this statement means she’s gonna do brutal stuff to people in this season to keep her power.
Clair Underwood can be brutal as we saw in the end of the last season. I hope this last season can live up to the other seasons in political thriller greatness, acting and cinematography. Doug tamper played by Michael Kelly will be returning with the main core cast. In the story I hope it goes into detail about Doug tamper’s fate and Tom Hammerschmidt finally exposes the murder of Zoe Barnes.
