A tv show review written by: Lee Sonogan

26min(2006-2009) Comedy, political satire

The Chaser's War on Everything - Wikipedia

“If I was only allowed to watch one program in my entire life, I would definitely have to pick “The Chaser’s War on Everything”. Of all the satirical shows that have been on Australian television, I found “Chaser” to be the funniest of all. It is just so Amazing, the boys aren’t afraid to do anything.” – gotagofast_23 (IMDB)

Broadcasted from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the show features sketches mocking social and political issues, and often feature comedic publicity stunts. Then the content is based on the weeks they were filming it. So everything relevant between 2006 and 2009. In its run, it made 58 episodes and was one of the political based shows that I watched regularly. The Chasers was originally a satirical newspaper written by all the stars in this tv show.

In three seasons of the show, Chris Taylor, Julian Morrow, Craig Reucassel, Andrew Hansen, and Chas Licciardello. They were not afraid to take risks or poke fun at anything or anyone. Andrew Hanson performs actually funny comedy songs on the show. Most of all it is funny and original content compares to any other show of the genre. It one of ABC’s best ever decisions in giving these guys a time slot. When aired it just got better every week. I still own 2 seasons of this show on DVD sitting there to be rewatched.

If they would come back and have no limitations in what they can do I would watch it for sure. And maybe rate this review higher. Today the Chasers all the people in the show do different stuff now. But they did come back in  2014-2015 doing a new show called The Chaser’s Media Circus. It was rated well but a bit lower than The Chaser’s War on Everything. I recommend this tv show that likes comedy/political satire based on Australian politics and other relevant pop culture topics for its time.

8.15/10

“This show is non Stop hilarity. the first joke will make u wet your pants. And thats probably the weakest joke of them all. I started watching it when the second half of season 2 started airing. and straight away. I’m hooked. only 2 weeks after I started watching. I’ve downloaded episodes and bought the DVD’s. Reoccurring Clips Such as “the Ad Road Test” and “current affairs” Are quiet hilarious.” – dammyyouvilewoman15 (IMDB)
