“Education doesn’t cease when you leave college or leave the university. Education is a lifetime process.” – Jim Rohn

I want/crave the experience of going to uni. Lectures on writing skill/topics is what I desire. This year I was going to do it at a university 20-30 minutes away from where I live. But finally when I was ready to sign up I was told the Bachelor of Arts was not happening due to lack of funds. All other universities that have courses for writing are too far away mostly in the city. Saving to go one day, the following article will help me keep my goal alive and maybe help other people like me who are also interested in higher education.

A university is an institution of higher education and research. It is in a different world compared to high school. In high school will be the first time you hear about university. While some universities take some high school scores into account others will let you in if you can prove you can do the work in the course of your choice. A academic degree from various academic disciplines is regarded higher than the average education certificate. Not everyone is meant to go to university and that is ok because there is so much more other options of education out there.

To study a subject you enjoy is a must when considering joining up with a university. Also any subject at university will widen your career prospects to something you know you already like. Maybe you have some experience in some topic/subject and you want to know more? Or you need a degree that you can legally use practical skills from the course. Then there is all the extra experiences and benefits you could get out of it.

Can I afford university? The biggest problem in universities is that they cost a lot of money to attend. Many people who graduate struggle to pay off their debts to universities. Saying that, more people are still making more money per year from a university education. Degrees go far for some people who get to their desired job and more people are happy with their job when they finally get there. I wish to be one of those people one day.

There is many reasons why you want to educate your self. It will build your self-confidence, independence and responsibly. You are forced to do everything for your self if your ambition is to succeed. Every week I get closer to my potential university education. I want to live there or near there in Melbourne, Australia. But things can change at any moment. If I go to university I might have to take a hiatus? But I could post assignments from university and more.

Universities in Melbourne I am considering to go to in the future:
  • Deakin – Bachelor of Arts
  • La Trobe – Bachelor of Arts
  • Swineburne – Bachelor of Arts
  • University of Melbourne – Bachelor of Arts
  • Much more I would consider!

“I believe that access to a university education should be based on the ability to learn, not what people can afford. I think there is no more nauseating a sight than politicians pulling up the ladder of opportunity behind them.” – Charles Kennedy
