One word is only one possibility when writing. Many singular words can have many other words with slightly different meanings. Useful while writing and improves your vocabulary. Using the same words over again can be boring to read. Having knowledge of synonyms will make each sentence and paragraph more appealing to the reader.

1. Big — large, enormous, huge, immense, gigantic, vast, colossal, gargantuan, sizable, grand, great, tall, substantial, mammoth, astronomical, ample, broad, expansive, spacious, stout, tremendous, titanic, mountainous
2. Little — small, tiny, diminutive, shrimp, runt, miniature, puny, exiguous, dinky, cramped, limited, itsy-bitsy, microscopic, slight, petite, minute
3. Describe — portray, characterize, picture, narrate, relate, recount, represent, report, record
4. Difference — disagreement, inequity, contrast, dissimilarity, incompatibility
