Firstly, video games are not all shooting and death games. The genres of video games are many and various depending on their content and gameplay features. While many other games put all the genres/content together into one game. For example, a video game may have a story mode for single players while still having online, multiplayer and various other modes to play. Then there are other open sandbox games with no rules you need to follow, and you can do what you want. You can review any video game by its entertainment levels, gameplay features and how fun it is. In the next few paragraphs I will explain the three reasons mentioned in the last sentence.
Entertainment levels can be many things. Listing them off it would be their graphics, sound tracks, dialog, storys/scenes, genre features and so much more. Each Genre will play differently to each game. Some will require you to level up and collect things in a RPG or you may have to play in a linear path. Or play co-op with a friend to a puzzle and challenge game. The option to play with friends also adds to the entertainment levels. Defining entertainment levels, you like will be up to your preferences and experiences.
Video game genres:
- Educational video games
- Open world adventure games
- Sandbox games
- Board games, cards, trivia, logic and more
- Much more genres and sub genres
Playing the game, the more features you can use and interact with the more interesting the video game. Game features can get complex and challenging the longer you play a video game. Then if you are playing against people it can get very competitive. These simulations can relate to real life activities. As I have not shot a gun in real life, I can understand why people like shooting from video games. If a video game is good, you will play it until you have beaten it one hundred percent and more in online modes.
A fun video game must have all your preferences and more. Some like challenging video games while others like the creativity and overall storys. Personally, I like my video games to have good storys, creativity, challenges, characters and good gameplay features. When a video game starts getting addicting you will know it’s a fun game. Easter eggs and hidden experiences in the game is also fun to experience while playing video games. any video game developer should have in mind to make their video game fun, or what is the point of creating it?
