A movie review written by: Lee Sonogan
2hrs (2017) Action, adventure, fantasy
Diana Prince: People said the Age of Heroes would never come again. Bruce Wayne: It has to. We don’t have any more time!
The following movie review is about Batman’s restored faith in humanity and is inspired by Superman’s selfless act. Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. The movie had a budget of $300 million and managed to make $657.6 million at the box office. The screenplay was written by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon. Music for the film was created by Danny Elfman.
The superheroes are never actually referred to as “The Justice League” in the movie. This movie was initially going to be split into two parts: Justice League Part One and Justice League Part Two, with a linear continuing story line. But by the time filming the idea of the film being in two parts seemed to have quietly gone away, and it is now rumored to be two self-contained movies with two related but separate plots.
Famous actors in this film:
- Ben Affleck
- Herny Cavill
- Amy adams
- Gal Gadot
- Ezra Miller
- Jason Momoa
- Jeremy Irons
- J. K. Simmons
- Many more actors you may have heard of
Ben Affleck was considered to direct this film. Billy Crudup plays Barry Allen’s (The Flash) father Henry in this film. However, before appearing in the DC Universe, Crudup initially auditioned for and was a top contender for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman Begins in 2005 before Christian Bale was cast. Crudup also portrayed a DC Comics superhero (Dr. Manhattan) in the film, “Watchmen,”.
It was a good movie for a fast paced story. My only negatives of the movie was some of the jokes were not good and then some of the storys/scenes were a bit weird. In the movie franchise Superman died. How he comes back to life seemed odd to me. I am excited for the next movie because in the post credit scene there was a preview to what the next movie will be. The ending comes together like a classic DC comics story. I recommend this movie to fans of DC comics and fans of this DC franchise.
6.8/10
Barry Allen: What are your superpowers again? Bruce Wayne: I’m rich.
