“Books are no more threatened by Kindle than stairs by elevators.”
― Stephen Fry

Are you a writer? If you have something of interest, you may want to publish it on the websites from Amazon. Amazon has many options to publish and sell your book. While there is many choices to self-publish, many other book publishers sell on these websites. Amazon has the brand recognition that you want to sell your book in your own way. You must be near completion of your project before submitting it to Amazon. It will make it easier for your self when you start creating the book following Amazon’s requirements..

You can sell Paperbacks, e-books, and audio books all for free on Each item you sell can be set to any price you want. It averages the exchange rate in money for you. All items will be different while going through the process of making it on Kindle Direct publishing. You should test out the website before publishing anything. Google forum websites or how to videos if you need assistance. You get free official book numbers for your content with Amazon.

Absolute perfection is very hard to achieve in any media. Quality original content is what amazon wants. One step you need to do is upload your manuscript and let the website review it for. It examines everything and tells you what you need to do next. Grammar, formating, spelling, structure and plagiarism will be picked up and seen in the previews of the book. You may have to repeat this process until Amazon said its ok to go.

Netflix and Amazon invest billions of dollars into original content every year. A new story that no one has seen creates value. You are the creator of the original content. Original content does not infringe copyrights. Authentic original content will set you out from the rest and will differently get you accepted on Amazon. If your developing skills are good, you can use smaller ideas from other people. Everybody has to take or obtain an idea from somewhere. It is your ability as a writer to take information and change it that creates your own styles and flowing connections.

You will need a book cover for your items. Something creative to make it stand out and relevent to the story. If you know your way around photo shop, you could make it yourself with the right dimensions according to Amazon. Or there is many paid services you can use to make an interesting book cover. I used to get a book cover for my first book. It came out better than what I described to the person. Kindle Direct Publishing also has its own Comic Creator.

Amazon has many websites for different countrys. If your item is accepted, Amazon will automatically translate it into the country of origin’s language. With different countrys, most of them are able to sell different things. But not everything. The e-book appeared in 13 countrys for my first book. While my paperback appeared in 7. Even that I live in Australia, I can not buy a paperback from the Australian amazon website. English readers have to ship it from either the UK or the USA.

Hopefully by now you have done all the details you can and is accepted onto Amazon. Now you need to share it and sent it out to the world. Advertising can be achieved free and with paid services. Google search share book, share e-book or share Kindle e-book to find many places on the net that shares books and independent content. Social media is also very useful to promote yourself. Amazon also offers a spot in kindleunlimited, pre-orders, promotion campaigns, Amazon Affiliate, Authors page and so much more.

Writing resources for published books:

Amazon has been good to me. It has given me two opportunities in my life. If you are a independent writer like me and do not want to use a book publisher. You should highly consider Amazon for all your selling needs. If you need to get it out there, Amazon will provide. Forever it will set until you make it get noticed. You can not take chances on fiction getting noticed by it self. You need to get it out there for purchases. Thank you Amazon! I hope to do some more business together soon.

“At your next book club meeting, picture me sitting quietly in the corner, taking notes on your preferences. Imagine the next day you get an email from me trying to sell you a new grill — or a book — or accessories for your Glock. That’s the Amazon/Goodreads deal. It’s appalling. But everywhere in the press, you’ll read about the genius of Amazon.”
