Game of Thrones: A Telltale series, a video game review

A video game review by: Lee Sonogan

(2014) Adventure, Drama, Fantasy

“I knew you’d bend the knee eventually,”. – Ramsay Bolton

Living in the world of Game of thrones is brutal. The story of the game is described as during the War of the Five Kings, House Forrester finds themselves embroiled in a web of deceit and corruption. Set between season 3 and 4 of the HBO series. Some of the main characters appearing in the game series are voiced by the respective actors from the HBO show. The video game is available on Android, IOS, PC, PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox one.

House Forrester is mentioned very briefly in the fifth novel of the book series ‘A Dance with Dragons’ as a minor house who serves as vassals to House Glover of Deepwood Motte. In the game you get to play most of the characters from the family of house Forrester. Keeping your character alive is one of the main goals of this video game.

List of writers that worked on the video game:

  • Andrew Grant
  • Nicole Martinez
  • Meghan Thorton
  • Dan Martin
  • Brad Kane
  • John Dombrow
  • Joshua Rubin
  • Justin Sloan
  • James Windeler
  • Ty Corey Franck (George R.R Martin’s personal assistant)

You want to be in a movie or tv show? This may be a game for you. Straight from the start you have to be quick and make good choices. You need to play the evil characters game if you want to survive in the world of Game of thrones. Since these characters do not die in the show, I do not recommend pissing them off. Your actions have strong consequences. Blood, gore and brutality awaits you. The ending that I got up to was big and cost me so much. I recommend this game to people who have watched Game of thrones and like choosing your own adventure.

PS – This game is much better then you would expect. I will be getting the next game when it comes out if I can follow on in what I did in the first six eps of the video game.
